Board of Directors

The Savings and Retirement Foundation is guided by a dedicated Board of Directors committed to advancing informed discussions on savings, pensions, and retirement policy. Our board brings together experts from academia, government, and the private sector, ensuring a diverse and well-rounded perspective on the economic and policy challenges facing retirement security.

Co-Director

Ike Brannon

Ike Brannon is co-director of the Savings and Retirement Foundation. He is President of Capital Policy Analytics, a consulting firm in Washington DC., as well as a senior fellow with the Jack Kemp Foundation. He spent a decade in government as an economist on the House Energy and Commerce Committee, the U.S. Treasury, Senate Finance Committee, Joint Economic Committee, and the Office of Management and Budget. He graduated from Indiana University and Augustana College and is from Mossville, Illinois.

Co-Director

Dan Corrin

Daniel Corrin is the co-director of the Savings and Retirement Foundation. He currently works in the intelligence field, and previously was a senior economist with the Bureau of Economic Analysis. Corrin is also the co-director of the Prosperity Caucus.  He has a B.A. in economics from Michigan State University, an M.P.P. from the University of Maryland, a M.A. in economics from American University, and an M.A. in international affairs from the Institute of World Politics.

Nick Gialamas

Nick Gialamas is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Forest Capital Management, LLC,  a registered investment advisory firm (RIA) focused on retirement investment services for institutional clients.
Nick is also the Area President of HUB International, a global insurance brokerage firm headquartered in Chicago, IL. Before joining HUB, Gialamas served as Chief Executive Officer of Forest Financial Group, Inc., an employee benefits consulting firm he founded in 1998. He is a graduate of Northern Illinois University.

Brian Jessen

Brian Jessen is managing director of Forest Capital Management. Prior to Forest Capital Management, Jessen was a consultant at True Partners Consulting. Jessen has a J.D. and an M.B.A. from Loyola University in Chicago and a B.A. in Communications and French from Wake Forest University.

James Lucier

James Lucier is a Managing Director at Capital Alpha, where he leads the energy, environmental, and macro strategy practices. Before co-founding Capital Alpha Partners in 2007, Lucier was a Senior Vice President at Prudential Equity Group, where for nine years he was a member of Prudential’s well-known Washington strategy group and of equity research teams covering oil & gas, power & utilities, and industrials. He is a graduate of Princeton University.

Hassan Tyler

 Hassan Tyler is an accomplished policy analyst specializing in economic and international relations. He is currently a Senior Board Member at the Savings and Retirement Foundation in Washington DC, and he brings a wealth of experience from a career dedicated to navigating complex economic issues and public policy.

John Tamny

John Tamny is Founder and President of the Parkview Institute, editor of RealClearMarkets, senior fellow at the Market Institute, and Senior Economic Adviser to mutual fund firm Applied Finance Group. He frequently writes about the securities markets, along with tax, trade and monetary policy issues that impact those markets for a variety of publications including the Wall Street Journal, Forbes, and RealClearMarkets.

Research assistant

Kirby Miller

Kirby Miller has been the research assistant at the Savings and Retirement Foundation since 2023, where he supports research and policy development focused on strengthening retirement security and personal savings. He holds a B.A. in economics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Prior to joining the Foundation, he worked for U.S. Representative Darin LaHood and Illinois State Senator Win Stoller, gaining experience in both federal and state policymaking.
