The Savings and Retirement Foundation is dedicated to bringing together scholars, policy staffers, and industry experts to discuss and explore topics related to the issues of pensions, savings, and retirement. The goal of the forum is to help inform those who advise policymakers of the most current research in the field.
The Foundation hosts a monthly meeting in Washington DC as well as an annual one day conference each Summer while informing its members of events, research, and news relevant to the field.
IKE BRANNON – Ike Brannon is the Founder of the Savings and Retirement Foundation. He is currently a visiting Senior Fellow at the Cato Institute specializing in fiscal policy, tax reform, and regulatory issues and the head of Capital Policy Analytics and the Prosperity Caucus. Ike was previously a senior fellow at the George W. Bush Institute and before that was director of economic policy for the American Action Forum. Prior to that he spent nearly a decade in government, serving as the chief economist for the House Energy and Commerce Committee, chief economist for the Republican Policy Committee, senior adviser for tax policy at the U.S. Treasury, principal economic adviser for Senator Orrin Hatch on the Senate Finance Committee, Chief Economist for the Joint Economic Committee, and a senior economist for the Office of Management and Budget. He was also chief economist for the John McCain campaign in 2008 as well as an associate professor of economics at the University of Wisconsin, Oshkosh.
Ike has a Ph.D. in economics from Indiana University and a B.A. in math, Spanish, and economics from Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois.
DANIEL CORRIN- Daniel Corrin is a Co-Founder of the Savings and Retirement Foundation. Corrin has worked for 29 years as an economist in Washington, DC, where he specializes in macroeconomic and financial economic analysis of the U.S. and international economies. Corrin holds MAs in International Affairs from the Institute of World Politics and Economics from American University. He also holds a Master of Public Policy from the University of Maryland and a BA in Economics from
Michigan State University.
PATRICK DEPINTO- Patrick DePinto is a Communications Assistant at the Savings and Retirement Foundation. DePinto is currently studying International Relations and Political Science at Bradley University where he is involved in the university’s College Republicans. DePinto also interns for Senator Chuck Weaver in Peoria, Illinois. He enjoys studying languages and can speak Spanish and Portuguese.
